TOKYO — The Japanese yen briefly hit 145 against the dollar on the foreign exchange market on Friday, marking nearly a seven-month low since last November. Dollar-buying grew, with investors betting that the U.S. Federal Reserve’s monetary tightening will continue.
In September last year, the Bank of Japan conducted a yen-buying intervention when the yen touched the 145 mark, triggering the market concerns.
