Two rushed to hospital after brewery incident

An emergency at a historic brewery in Victoria has resulted in two people being transported to hospital.

Paramedics responded to the incident at Billson’s Beverages in the state’s northeast about 9.30am on Tuesday morning.

Two people were taken to hospital via ambulance.

A spokesperson for Billson’s said the team’s safety was the “sole priority” and “only focus” at this stage.

VicEmergency said the incident involved hazardous material but has since been marked “safe”.

The Country Fire Authority have been contacted for comment.
