Severe thunderstorm warning for ACT cancelled

“An upper low and a very moist airmass combine to generate severe thunderstorms this afternoon and into the evening. Severe thunderstorms are likely to produce heavy rainfall that may lead to flash flooding over the next several hours in the South Coast and parts of the Illawarra, Southern Tablelands and Snowy Mountains districts. Locations which may be affected include Batemans Bay, Eden, Braidwood, Bega, Moruya Heads and Bombala,” the bureau said in a statement.
