An adult pedestrian hit by a vehicle downtown Thursday was taken to hospital by ambulance, police said.
The pedestrian, who suffered injuries police described as “non-life threatening,” was hit at the intersection of Ouellette Avenue and Shepherd Street at around 1:30 p.m.

Officers closed Ouellette in both directions from Ellis Street to Hanna Street for more than three hours following the collision.
The investigation is ongoing. Whether or not the driver of the involved vehicle will faces charges remains unknown.
