OPP release images of suspect vehicle after Caledon man shot dead

Shortly before midnight Monday, officers responded to a shooting at a residence on Mayfield Rd., east of Airport Rd. Police found one man dead, while two women were transported to hospital with critical injuries.

The victim was a 57-year-old from Caledon, but police are not naming him.

Investigators believe that multiple individuals were involved in the shooting. One was last seen entering a black pick-up truck, which then travelled westbound on Mayfield Rd.

Cops now believe this truck was later involved in a vehicle fire on Olde Baseline Rd. and Creditview Rd.

Investigators are seeking dash-cam footage of both scenes late Monday and early Tuesday, between 11 p.m. and 12:30 a.m.

The OPP Caledon detachment is continuing its investigation and said there is no imminent threat to public safety. Residents in the area will continue to see an increased police presence, cops added.
