Hsieh Su-wei of Taiwan and Wang Xinyu of China won the women’s doubles title at the French Open in Paris on Sunday over Laval, Que., native Leylah Fernandez and her American partner Taylor Townsend.
The unseeded duo claimed the victory in three sets 1-6, 7-6 (5), 6-1, capping off a tournament that saw them upset five seeded opponents, including the No. 10 seed North American pair in the final.
