    Haryana CM Khattar chairs HPPC meeting, approves purchases worth over Rs 620 crore

    Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar Saturday chaired a meeting of the High Powered Purchase Committee (HPPC) and approved contracts and purchases worth Rs 620.88 crore.

    The state government said that due to negotiations with various bidders pitching for these projects, the government was able to save Rs 15.47 crore.

    Others among those present during the meeting include Agriculture and Farmers’ Welfare Minister JP Dalal, Energy Minister Ranjit Singh, Transport Minister Mool Chand Sharma and Minister of State for Revenue and Disaster Management Department Anoop Dhanak.

    “Ten agendas of Irrigation, Haryana Vidyut Prasaran Nigam Limited (HVPNL) and Uttar Haryana Bilji Vitran Nigam (UHBVN) in the High Powered Purchase Committee and four agendas of Public Works (Buildings and Roads) and Public Health Engineering Department in the High-Powered Works Purchase Committee were taken up for discussion and all got approved,” a government spokesperson said.

    Giving details of the projects approved, the spokesperson added, “Among different works and purchases which were materialised during the meeting included strengthening of Sirsa-Ludesar-Bhadar road in Sirsa district; construction of two-lane road from Panchgaon to Farrukhnagar via Jamalpur in Gurugram district; construction of 100-bed State Institute of Tuberculosis and Cardiopulmonary Diseases at Ambala city; renovation and upgradation of water works in Hansi town, Hisar; repair of old water works and construction of 8 MLD water treatment plant; procurement of 10 KVA and 20 KVA distribution transformers; construction of 220 KV transmission line associated with IMT Kharkhoda in Rohtak area; construction of 220 KV substation IMT Kharkhoda (Pocket-A); construction of 220 KV substation IMT Kharkhoda (Pocket-B) at Sonipat and construction of 220 KV substation in Chikanwas”.

    Top officials of the state government including Additional Chief Secretary (Finance) Anurag Rastogi, Additional Chief Secretary (Agriculture and Farmers Welfare) Sudhir Rajpal, Additional Chief Secretary (Public Health Engineering) AK Singh, Principal Secretary to Chief Minister V Umashankar, Deputy Principal Secretary to Chief Minister KM Pandurang, Director General (Supplies and Disposals) Mohammed Shayin, Managing Director (Uttar Haryana Bijli Vitran Nigam Limited) Saket Kumar, Chairman (Haryana Power Utilities) PK Das, among other senior officers, also attended the meeting.
