The search was undertaken as part of Operation Tombola, which focuses on the prevention and detection of the sale of fireworks during the Halloween period.
Following the operation, two men were arrested and were later released without charge.
A spokesperson for the gardaí said: “As part of Operation Tombola, Gardaí in Limerick seized €2,500 of illegal fireworks yesterday in addition to pepper spray & €700 of cocaine.”
