Dog’s spot on impression of a cow has internet doing a double take

    [ad_1]

Internet users have been left delighted by a viral video of a dog showing off her uncanny impression of a cow, as many people can’t believe the stellar likeness.

Rather than barking or whining at her owners like most dogs would do, the hilarious clip shows Millie appearing to moo at her humans instead. Millie’s owner couldn’t contain her laughter while recording her dog making the low, vibrating noise which made it seem like she should be grazing on a field instead.

Since the video of Millie’s “impression of a cow” was posted on her dedicated TikTok account (@millie.thedoggo) on November 6, social media users can’t get enough of her unbelievable acting skills. The clip has already been viewed more than 168,100 times and received over 32,400 likes in a matter of days.

So, while she may be part bull mastiff and German shepherd, her remarkable ability to moo might also suggest that she could even be part cow. Millie must certainly be very proud of her talents, because after sharing the video online, her owners explained that “she honestly does it all the time.”

Millie’s penchant for mooing might seem peculiar, but the American Kennel Club (AKC) explains that dogs can communicate their needs in a range of methods, so it’s important for owners to recognize what they’re trying to say with each one. Barking is the most common way a dog will communicate when they want attention or to issue an alert, but they may also whine, howl, or even sing at times (much to their owner’s dismay).

The AKC notes that purring isn’t just for cats, because some dogs will also create a rumbling sound to signal happiness. This may be what Millie was portraying at the time, as it’s described as a low and loud purring noise.

Some breeds will vocalize more than others, and they can undoubtedly show off a plethora of different sounds, so owners will become accustomed to their different means of communication over time.

Millie’s owners, from West Sussex, U.K., loved sharing the dog’s talent as a cow impersonator, and since going viral they have continued sharing more clips of the mischievous pup.

The impressive skill certainly delighted social media users, leading to many comments on the post to praise the dog’s unexpected talent. One comment reads: “10/10, definitely a cow in there somewhere.”

Another TikTok user wrote: “Well at least you won’t run out of milk.”

“That’s a foghorn, not a dog,” joked another social media user.

Millie may have even managed to fool some people with her impression, as another person jested: “What a beautiful cow.”
