The Burnaby RCMP is searching for an Indigenous woman who has been missing since May 26.

On Tuesday afternoon, the RCMP said that 21-year-old Kiana McDermott had been reported missing to police that day despite her last being seen 19 days before on Friday May 26.

Police spokesperson Cpl. Mike Kalanj said that McDermott was known to use transit as her primary mode of transportation in Metro Vancouver.
He said that McDermott’s family were very concerned for her well-being.
McDermott is five-foot-4 and weighs 160 pounds. She has brown eyes.
