Britney Spears Celebrates ‘Historic’ Memoir Success By Getting Naked

The singer Britney Spears celebrated the “historic” success of her memoir “The Woman In Me,” which was released on Tuesday, by posting a naked photo of herself on Instagram.

Spears Posts Nude Photo To Instagram

Spears, 41, posted a photo of herself displaying her bare backside for the camera and covering her breasts with her arms as she stood on an unidentified beach. This comes as her memoir currently holds the number 1 spot on Amazon’s Best Sellers and Barnes and Noble’s Best Sellers lists.

Spears thanked her fans for their support in another Instagram post that has since been deleted.

“It’s happening!!! My book is the highest-selling celebrity memoir in history and it’s only day 1!!!,” she wrote in the caption. “Thank you to the fans who have been so supportive!!! Love you all!!! #TheWomanInMe @gallerybooks @simonandschuster.”

In an excerpt from her book, Spears explained why she enjoys posting photos and videos in which she wears little-to-no clothing to social media.

“I know that a lot of people don’t understand why I love taking pictures of myself naked or in new dresses,” she wrote. “But I think if they’d been photographed by other people thousands of times, prodded and posed for other people’s approval, they’d understand that I get a lot of joy from posing the way I feel sexy and taking my own picture, doing whatever I want with it.”

Spears’ Sons Respond 

Spears’ two sons Preston, 18, and Jayden, 17, whom she shares with Kevin Federline, have publicly spoken out against the content she posts to social media.

“It’s like almost as if she has to post something on Instagram to get attention,” Jayden told ITV last year. “This has gone on for years and years and years, and there’s a high chance that this is never going to really stop.”

Federline, 45, admitted that it has been “tough” for his sons to see Spears behave the way she does online.

“I can’t imagine how it feels to be a teenager, having to go to high school,” he said. “Who knows how many people ask them about it or talk to them about it?”

Spears dedicated “The Woman In Me” to Preston and Jayden, describing them as the “love of [her] life,” according to Page Six. While she has not seen her sons in two years, they reportedly reconnected back in August via telephone before the boys moved to Hawaii with their father.

Spears Admits To Getting Abortion

Spears also used her memoir to reveal that she got an abortion twenty years ago during her time dating Justin Timberlake, blaming him for pressuring her to go through with it.

“It was a surprise, but for me, it wasn’t a tragedy. I loved Justin so much. I always expected us to have a family together one day. This would just be much earlier than I’d anticipated,” Spears wrote, according to People Magazine. “But Justin definitely wasn’t happy about the pregnancy. He said we weren’t ready to have a baby in our lives, that we were way too young.”

“I’m sure people will hate me for this, but I agreed not to have the baby,” she continued. “I don’t know if that was the right decision. If it had been left up to me alone, I never would have done it. And yet Justin was so sure that he didn’t want to be a father.”

Spears regrets getting the abortion to this day.

“To this day, it’s one of the most agonizing things I have ever experienced in my life,” she admitted.

While we congratulate Spears for the success of her memoir, perhaps she should think twice about continuing to post raunchy photos and videos of herself to social media if she wants to have a relationship with her sons moving forward. Only time will tell if Spears will have second thoughts about the way she portrays both herself and her body online.
