Sky News Digital Editor Jack Houghton has criticised former prime minister Malcolm Turnbull for his comments about Sky News Australia’s coverage of the Voice to Parliament debate. Mr Houghton said Mr Turnbull had complained the network “spreading fear and falsehoods” about the proposal was an affront to Australian democracy. “In 2017 Malcolm Turnbull was the prime minister and he had the opportunity to embrace the Voice – he canned it,” Mr Houghton added. “What a sad man, attempting to muddy the waters of history by pretending to be the champion of the Voice when he – as the most powerful politician in the country once destroyed it.”
