The politician who could become New Zealand’s next deputy prime minister has made a campaign visit to east Auckland.

ACT Party leader David Seymour spoke to a large audience at a public meeting in Pakuranga earlier today, September 22, organised by Grey Power Howick Pakuranga and Districts Association.

He then visited Howick’s Picton Street, visiting various local businesses and speaking to voters, and made a stop at the Times Media office in Central Terrace.

Seymour was joined by ACT’s Botany candidate Bo Burns and Parmjeet Parmar, who’s standing for the party in Pakuranga.

He previously hosted a public meeting in Pakuranga on September 13 that drew an audience of more than 100 people, speaking on topics including the Treaty of Waitangi, crime, education, taxation and Government spending.

Seymour is scheduled to take part in a ‘Pints and Politics’ event with Burns and Parmar at The Apothecary Licensed Eatery in Picton Street from 4-5pm today, September 22.

    Entry is free.
