Ciryl Gane reveals key coaching tip that he ignored in Jon Jones loss
The UFC returns to London this evening, as Tom Aspinall looks to right the wrong of his last outing at the O2 Arena.
The Wigan heavyweight takes on Marcin Tybura in the main event tonight, almost exactly one year on from his ill-fated clash with Curtis Blaydes, which ended after 15 seconds when Aspinall suffered a knee injury. Aspinall, 30, has since undergone surgery and claimed that he is now better than ever, and he will seek to prove that against Poland’s Tybura, 37.
In the co-main event, fan favourite “Meatball” Molly McCann goes up against Julija Stoliarenko, with the Liverpool strawweight aiming to get back to winning ways. In her most recent fight, McCann, 33, was submitted in the first round by Erin Blanchfield in November.
McCann’s close friend Paddy Pimblett will be in the crowd to cheer her on, and to watch what should be an entertaining set of contests, including Indy Sport’s pick for fight of the night: Nathaniel Wood, the only London fighter on the card, against Andre Fili at featherweight.

McCann misses while loading up on a right hand. She eats a low kick at the same time.
There are VERY loud “Ole” chants in the O2.
Both women duck their heads and swing hooks, but neither quite lands. Decent body kick then a jab by Stoliarenko.
More risky hooks from both women. Stoliarenko then gets a double-leg, driving McCann back to the fence, dragging her to the mat, then taking the back with ease…
But McCann wriggles free, to a huge roar!
Hang on, though, Stoliarenko is working on an armbar…

Fili with a sharp jab now. Wood with a front kick to the body, then a series of low kicks.
This is really technical stuff after the wild exchanges of the second round.
Wood fends off a clinch attempt from Fili, who then tags him with a jab.
HARD left hook by Wood, tilting back Fili’s head! The fighters then land heavy body kicks at the same time.
Well-timed jab from Wood. Fili with one of his own. Fili shrugs off a single-leg takedown attempt, then taunts Wood. But the pair show respect when the buzzer sounds!

Both featherweights land jabs simultaneously. Wood has done well considering the distinct length advantage that Fili possesses.
Hard outside low kick from Wood now, then a piston jab. He just misses with an overhand right, then parries a jab.
A pawing right hook lands for Wood, then a jab that snaps back Fili’s head.
A smarter round from Wood so far.
