The E2E Profit 100 profiles the companies who have flourished and continued to grow, despite the challenging economy and rapidly changing business environment.
The list features companies across a wide range of industries, including finance, technology, energy, manufacturing and steel. The profit growth figures are not just respectable, but at the top end of the list recorded at nearly 5000%.
The theme that has evolved for the top-performing businesses is the ability to respond to change and a belief in giving superb service to customers. Given the economy, inflation rates and rapidly rising interest rates, increasing profit is a challenge, even for the most well-established businesses. While well-known brand names are disappearing, it’s a testament to the companies that have been listed that they are flourishing despite the odds.
The companies featured in the E2E Profit 100 include:
American Golf who are a leading UK and European golf retailer providing in-store support and a strong online presence delivering a range of golfing products for all ages.
Waterstones, which employs more than 3,000 superb booksellers across more than 280 bookshops, and has cemented itself as one of the greatest booksellers with strong high street presence and plans for further expansion.
Utilita Energy’s mission is to support the people who need it most. Their watchword is ‘fairness’ and with 20 years of experience, they are focused on delivering a flexible service that is good for people’s budgets and good for the planet.
Other industries represented feature automotive, healthcare, property, recruitment and construction, demonstrating that there is no defining industry where profits are being made. In most cases, success can be attributed to businesses using technology in partnership with excellent customer service and the willingness to flex to changing market needs.
The E2E Profit 100 is the sixth and final success track to be revealed this year. The first was the E2E Female 100 in March, followed by the E2E Tech 100 in April, the E2E International 100 in May, the E2E Job Creation 100 in July and the E2E Dynamic 100 in September.
Shalini Khemka CBE, Chief Executive of E2E and the inspiration behind the 100 tracks, said: “ The companies featured on the track are an inspiration to UK business. Despite turbulent times both in the UK and globally, the companies featured have generated a profit consistently. The six tracks we’ve featured in The Independent this year have highlighted the driving force of the UK economy: our scale-up entrepreneurs. Every single company featured this year has performed outstandingly, and it has been our privilege to highlight their exceptional work.â€
All the E2E 100 tracks are compiled with data drawn from independent research carried out by Go Live Data and Experian.
The launch will be celebrated at the House of Lords with a celebrated list of guests as well as representatives of many of the companies that feature in the Profit 100.
