A major rescue operation is underway at the Old Barrington Quarry following reports a teenage male had suffered injuries after a fall.
Multiple fire trucks, two ambulances and the RAC rescue chopper are rushing to Old Barrington Quarry in Martin following a triple-000 call around 1.50pm on Tuesday.
A St John spokeswoman said it is believed a teenage male had suffered injuries as a result of a fall at the tourist hotspot.
The area is popular for hiking and is near the iconic Sixty Foot Falls within the Ellis Brook Valley Reserve.
It comes less than a day after an eight-year-old boy was winched to safety by the rescue chopper after he fell several metres as Lesmurdie Falls.
Firefighters conducted a tricky vertical rescue, winching the boy to safety from the bottom of the rocky waterfall.
Dramatic images captured by the 7NEWS chopper showed several firefighters on the rocky terrain as the young child was loaded onto a stretcher before the helicopter lifted him out.
A Perth Children’s Hospital spokeswoman said on on Tuesday that the eight-year-old was in a stable condition.
