The two-vehicle crash happened on SH1 near Chertsey on Monday morning.
A person has been seriously injured in a collision between a motorcycle and a car near Chertsey in Mid Canterbury.
The crash happened on State Highway 1 (Rakaia Highway) near Chersey Line Rd at 7.38am on Monday.
The road was partially blocked initially, but has since reopened fully.
St John said one person was taken to Christchurch Hospital in serious condition.
