Never before has the Premier League been so saturated with clubs from the English capital as it has in the past couple of years.
While the likes of QPR and Charlton have long faded from top-flight relevancy, Brentford’s rise and Fulham’s improvement under Marco Silva has seen London’s aristocracy complemented by a pair of overachievers in the west of the capital.
The presence of seven London clubs in the top-flight in 2023/24 means derbies will roll around at a relentless rate this season with Arsenal hoping to replicate their 2022/23 form against their nearest geographical neighbours.
The Gunners went unbeaten against their London rivals last season and became the first side ever to win ten capital derbies in a single campaign.
Will they reign supreme again in 2023/24? Here’s how all the London clubs have fared against one another so far.

It’s early doors in the 2023/24 season, but we’ve already seen several London clubs face off. All seven sides have played at least one London derby through three games, while four sides have played multiple.
Brentford’s opening encounters have all come against London clubs and they’ve enjoyed an unbeaten start to the season. Home draws against Tottenham and Crystal Palace arrived either side of their 3-0 thrashing of Fulham at Craven Cottage. Tim Ream’s second-half dismissal allowed the Bees to run riot towards the end of the contest.
Thomas Frank’s side currently top the London derby table, but Arsenal are just a point behind in second. The Gunners edged past Palace at Selhurst Park on Matchday 2 before they were pegged back by ten-man Fulham last time out. Nevertheless, Mikel Arteta’s side haven’t tasted defeat to a London club in the Premier League since their north London derby loss in May 2022.
West Ham are the only side with a perfect record so far. They’ve played one derby and won it convincingly. Chelsea succumbed at the London Stadium on Matchday 2 despite the home side playing the final third of the game with ten men. The Blues are the only side not to take points off a London club this season.
Tottenham, meanwhile, opened their campaign with an entertaining 2-2 draw at Brentford and currently look like the primary challenger for Arsenal’s throne given their start under Ange Postecoglou.
