Citizens should neither feel pressure nor the absence of their governments, Prime Minister Narendra Modi said at a global summit in Dubai on Wednesday, laying down his vision that stressed governance models focused on inclusiveness, transparency and green energy.
Addressing the World Governments’ Summit in Dubai, the Prime Minister stressed that the people of India trust his government.
“Citizens should neither feel any pressure from the government nor its absence. Rather, I believe that it is the job of the government to ensure that government interference in people’s lives is minimal,” he said
PM Modi emphasised that the world needs inclusive, smart, technology-driven, corruption-free, green governments that focus on ease of living (mobility, business).
“We have stressed an environment that encourages enterprise and energy among citizens…We gave importance to people’s participation,” he said.
