    MANILA/JAKARTA — The Philippines and Indonesia will strengthen their cooperation in the face of China’s assertiveness in the South China Sea and other security challenges, the nations’ leaders agreed on Wednesday.

    Philippine President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. and Indonesian counterpart Joko “Jokowi” Widodo met in Manila to discuss security, economic issues and other matters.
