There are three new emergency warnings in Gippsland as out-of-control bushfires threaten lives and homes.
There is a ‘leave now’ warning for Duffy Road in Briagolong, Stockdale, Iguana Creek and Glenaladale between the Princess Highway and Beverleys Road.
A ‘too late to leave’ warning has been put in place at Briagolong north of Beverleys Road – the advice is to take shelter now as firefighters are unable to contain the fire.
There’s a ‘take shelter now’ alert for Seacombe and Loch Sport.
There are also severe weather warnings for much of the state for damaging winds and heavy rain.
