A male pedestrian in his 40s has died following a collision in Midleton, Co Cork in the early hours of this morning.
Gardaí are currently at the scene on the N25 Eastbound at Water-Rock, where the collision occurred at around 1.30am.
The man in his 40s, was pronounced dead at the scene. No other serious injuries to persons was reported.
Gardaí are appealing for any witnesses to the collision to come forward.
“Any road users who may have camera footage (including dash-cam) and were travelling on the N25 Eastbound between 1:15am and 1:30am are asked to make this footage available to Gardaí,” a garda spokesperson said.
“Anyone with any information is asked to contact Midleton Garda Station on 021 4621550, the Garda Confidential Line on 1800 666 111, or any Garda Station.”
