New Delhi: Pakistani actress Mahira Khan, who tied the knot with Salim Karim in a picturesque ceremony in Bhurban, Pakistan, in October 2023, has addressed persistent rumours about her pregnancy. Like many female actors, Mahira has become the subject of speculation, with various sources suggesting that she might be expecting. The Raees star recently spoke out about these rumours, expressing bewilderment over their origin.
Mahira Khan on pregnancy rumoursDuring a conversation with Mashion, Mahira pondered whether the gossip stemmed from her recent weight gain. When quizzed about a “peculiar rumour” surrounding her, she clarified, “It’s not weird. It’s just a rumour.” Dismissing the speculation, she continued, “I don’t know where they came up with it. Maybe because I have put on weight. But they also said that I have left a Netflix series and a major film and what not. So yeah. But it’s not true.”
Mahira and Salim embraced marital bliss in a traditional nikaah ceremony, accompanied by customary celebrations. Mahira shared glimpses of their wedding festivities on social media.
Mahira on her husbandWhen asked about her feelings towards her husband, Mahira offered some lighthearted responses. She shared, “I hate that he is not expressive” and amusingly added, “I tolerate that he is not expressive.” Changing her tone, she revealed, “Sometimes I like the music to be turned off, but he likes the music to be on all the time. It’s like when he wakes up, he wants music, and I like listening to birds and all.”
Reflecting on the positive aspects, Mahira expressed, “I love the fact that he tolerates the fact that I like having my breakfast alone.”
Mahira Khan was previously married to Ali Askari, and they parted ways in 2015. They have a son Azlaan.
