16 Forestglen Crescent, Browns Plains, goes under the hammer at 2pm on Saturday.

A trashed home with “broken bones” that went viral off a wacky pirate video by its agent is the hottest house going to auction in Queensland this week.

Realestate.com.au named the three bedroom house at 16 Forestglen Crescent, Browns Plains, as having the most views of all properties going under the hammer this week.

The home has drawn out renovators and investors looking at dual occupancy options.

This home will be open for inspection at 4pm on Wednesday.

The home continues to attract solid interest.

The home, which is open for inspection at 4pm Wednesday, already has eight bidders pre-registered for online bidding with agent Cory Boyd of Ray White Marsden AKG expecting that figure to double by the opening of bidding at 2pm on Saturday.

Mr Boyd, who is marketing the property with colleague Keron Petzer, convinced the owner of the trashed home to let him dress as a pirate for a video of the property.

“I wanted to gain as much traction as possible, and said we had to generate a video to get people talking.”

He’s already getting more than he bargained for: “I’m starting to get a few phone calls (for more trashed homes). Whether I become a specialist in it I don’t know.”

It’s not move in ready, but it is very popular nonetheless with Brisbane househunters.

Eight people have already pre-registered for online bidding on this property.

The 800sq m block backs onto parkland.

The pair currently hold the national record for the most number of bidders to register for an auction – at 161 buyers who signed up to bid on another trashed home in Brisbane this month.

Mr Boyd expects many of those who were interested in that record-breaking property to also take a look at the Browns Plains home.

“It’s hard to anticipate because we’ve got eight pre-registered that will be bidding online but we will probably have between 15 to 25 bidders roughly, maybe more,” he said.

“It’s kind of a bit hard to predict. We had that last one where we anticipated 60 to 80 and got 161 at Billabong Drive. The majority of (bidders) will probably come out on the day.”

He said most of those interested in the property at present were renovators or investors.

“We’ve got a lot of people that want to do dual occupancy, a lot of mum and dad renovators, house flippers, a few that want to buy and hold on for the land, but probably the most popular is the people that want to do dual occupancy on it.”

Mr Boyd said he would not be donning the pirate garb for this Saturday’s auction, but have his game day suit on.
