A head-on collision between an SUV and a sedan shut down a stretch of County Road 22 Tuesday morning in Lakeshore.
The collision occurred around 9:30 a.m. at Commercial Boulevard, under heavy rain.

Ontario Provincial Police, EMS and Lakeshore Fire responded to the scene.
County Road 22 was closed in both directions from Manning Road eastward to West Pike Creek Road for several hours.
The closure of the main thoroughfare — County Road 22 turns into E.C. Row Expressway — rerouted traffic, causing some delays.
OPP spokesman Const. Steven Duguay confirmed one of the drivers was transported to a trauma centre with serious but “non-life-threatening injuries.”
The second driver was not injured.
Police continue to investigate the collision.
