Jeffrey Epstein trafficked a teenage girl to prominent US politicians, world leaders — and even a “well-known Prime Minister” — and then made her detail the sexual encounters so that he could potentially blackmail the men, according to newly unsealed court documents.
The accuser, identified in the 2014 filing by the pseudonym “Jane Doe 3,” was forced to have sex with a host of “powerful men.”
That list included “numerous prominent American politicians, powerful business executives, foreign presidents, a well-known Prime Minister, and other world leaders,” the document alleged, without naming the individuals.
Epstein “required” the girl “to describe the events that she had with these men so that he could potentially blackmail them,” the filing continued.
The accuser was first approached by Epstein’s madam, Ghislaine Maxwell, in 1999, when she was just 15 years old, the document stated.
Over the next three years, Epstein turned the teen into a “sex slave” and frequently sexually abused her in locations all over the world, including aboard his private jets, the document claimed.
“Epstein also sexually trafficked the then-minor Jane Doe, making her available for sex to politically-connected and financially-powerful people,” according to the court record.
The financier’s purported goal in “lending” Jane Doe 3 to his influential pals was to “ingratiate” himself with them for financial gain, but also “to obtain potential blackmail information.”
The same 10-page filing described how the underage victim was allegedly forced by Epstein to have sex with Prince Andrew at Maxwell’s London apartment, in New York, and on Epstein’s private island in the US Virgin Islands during an orgy involving “numerous” underage girls.
In the document, Jane Doe 3 claimed that her rights under the federal Crimes Victims’ Rights Act were violated when the US government entered into a secret non-prosecution agreement with Epstein regarding sex trafficking crimes.
Instead, the millionaire was allowed to plead guilty in 2008 to a count of soliciting prostitution involving a single victim and served 13 months in a jail work-release program.
Epstein was charged in 2019 with federal child sex trafficking counts in New York but died by suicide in jail while awaiting trial.
Jane Doe 3’s account was made public Thursday as part of the latest batch of documents that were released on the orders of Manhattan federal Judge Loretta Preska.
The trove of court papers contains dozens of high-profile names, including former Presidents Bill Clinton and Donald Trump, and the late theoretical physicist Stephen Hawking.
All the previously sealed records are related to a settled 2015 civil lawsuit brought against Maxwell by one of Epstein’s victims, Virginia Roberts Giuffre.
The first 40 documents were unsealed Wednesday, followed by another 60 Thursday. More will be released in the coming days.
