Singapore-based drilling and offshore services contractor Bluewhale Offshore, a subsidiary of Chinese yard CIMC, has secured more work for its jackup unit Caspian Driller offshore Turkmenistan.
A new three-year contract will keep the rig utilised in the Caspian Sea, following the conclusion of the last project
“This contract extension not only recognizes our rig’s capabilities and our team’s dedication to operational excellence but also reinforces our strategic presence in the region,” the company said.
Bluewhale was initially set up in 2016 to manage semisubs and jackups owned by its parent CIMC. The company’s fleet consists of five semis and six jackups. The Caspian Driller was commissioned in 2014 and has been working for Dragon Oil since 2015.
