BAKU, Azerbaijan, September 22. Azerbaijan’s
anti-terrorist measures in Karabakh are not related to Pashinyan.
This has nothing to do with the Armenian state, Turkish President
Recep Tayyip Erdogan said while answering questions from Turkish
journalists upon returning from New York, Trend reports.
“This is an issue related to the Armenian separatists in
Karabakh,” Erdogan said.
He noted that the separatists’ attempts to hold so-called
“elections” seriously worried both the Prime Minister of Armenia
and Azerbaijan.
“Azerbaijan regarded this as further inflaming the current
process. Meanwhile, of course, the deaths of our brothers brought
the situation to a completely different level. Warnings were given,
but despite this, the separatists continued in the same spirit.
Azerbaijan intervened and carried out anti-terrorist measures in a
short period of time,” Erdogan added.
Note, Azerbaijan Armed Forces launched on Tuesday a local
anti-terrorist operation to neutralize illegal Armenian armed
formations and their outlaw military infrastructure in the Karabakh
region.
