BAKU, Azerbaijan, June 20. Medicines
not included in the State Register may be delivered to Azerbaijan
on the basis of the patient’s order only in the quantity specified
in the prescription, Trend reports.
This issue was reflected in the amendment to the law
“On Medicines”, which was discussed at today’s meeting of the Milli
Majlis (Parliament) Committee on Healthcare.
According to the amendment, prescription medicines
that are not included in the state register approved in accordance
with the procedure provided for in Article 12-1.6 of the law may be
imported into Azerbaijan by wholesale pharmaceutical enterprises,
pharmacy organizations, or a body (institution) determined by the
relevant executive authority, on the basis of a patient’s order
only in the amount specified in the prescription.
