‘Walking billboard’: Victorian school’s new uniform has a ‘political agenda’

Cheltenham Secondary College has received criticism for “political indoctrination” after developing a new school jacket with a gay pride flag on one sleeve and the Aboriginal flag on the other.

Child and adolescent psychologist Clare Rowe says these students have not been offered an alternative or plain jacket option and children who wear this are now a “walking billboard for a political agenda”.

“Can we please have a protected space, nine to three, where the sanctity of childhood is revered and we can just have this space where children don’t have to have that in their face all day,” Ms Rowe told Sky News host Andrew Bolt.
