Hugo Keenan of Leinster may miss La Rochelle clash
Leinster full-back Hugo Keenan has emerged as a major injury doubt ahead of this evening’s Champions Cup quarter-final against La Rochelle at a sold-out Aviva Stadium.
Keenan has been named to start in the No 15 jersey, however, he may be forced to miss out, with Ciarán Frawley on standby, which would mean Harry Byrne coming onto the Leinster bench.
Keenan endured an injury-hit Six Nations but had recovered in recent weeks.
The 27-year’s potential absence would be a massive blow for Leinster against La Rochelle, who are already missing their first-choice full-back Brice Dulin.
Frawley played at ‘15’ for Ireland during the Six Nations, which could mean the Skerries native’s versatility is be called upon again, if Keenan is ruled out.
