Everton have had a turbulent 2023/24 campaign, and we only find ourselves in January. The Toffees were sunk by a ten-point deduction for FFP breaches, but have since battled their way out of the bottom three.
However, after a promising run of results for Sean Dyche’s men, it is claimed Everton could once again be stung by another points deduction for a further breach of regulations.
The Merseyside club will be eager to keep their players fit with the prospect of another points deduction in the near future, and with that in mind, Football FanCast is here to keep you updated with the latest injury news coming out of Goodison Park.
Latest Everton injury news
Everton will be without a number of players through injury on Saturday for their clash with Manchester City, with the likes of Abdoulaye Doucoure, Andre Gomes, Arnaut Danjuma and Dele Alli all set to be sidelined.
However, one positive is that Amadou Onana looks set to feature for the Toffees.

Abdoulaye Doucoure – hamstring
Doucoure has been suffering from a hamstring issue and it was thought to be longer-term in comparison to the Irishman.
And, he’s still not ready to feature against Manchester City this weekend, but Sean Dyche did have some positive news:
“Doucs is on the grass – not with us – but he’s making good progress.”
Andre Gomes – hamstring
Andre Gomes was one of the standout performers for the Toffees prior to his calf injury.
And, he’s still recovering, as Dyche provided this update:
“Not Douc, not Danjuma, not Andre Gomes, he won’t be back.
Dele Alli – injury setback
Dele is yet to play for Dyche, as he was on loan with Besiktas when the former Burnley boss was appointed manager.
And things have gone from bad to worse for the recovering midfielder, as he’s set to be out for even longer after going under the knife recently.
Dyche provided an update on Dele earlier this month: “Unfortunately he has required surgery. It was a bit of a debate over whether to or not which is why it took some time.
“Now he’ll be basically recovering from that. There’s no timescale to it because obviously he’s got a lot on and we’re just waiting for it to develop and the early signs are good at this time.”
Arnaut Danjuma – ankle
The forward suffered an ankle injury during the goalless stalemate at Fulham, which caused him to miss the Tottenham Hotspur clash.
And, he’s set to miss the Manchester City game too, Sean Dyche has revealed:
“Not Douc, not Danjuma, not Andre Gomes, he won’t be back.”
Latest Everton suspension news
