The Duchess of Sussex Meghan Markle visited Vancouver-based charity Justice For Girls on Monday, before her unexpected appearance at the Vancouver Canucks game later that day with husband Harry.
Markle has been involved in the charity that supports girls aged 12-18 living in poverty since first visiting its downtown Vancouver headquarters in Jan. 2020.

She has now visited three times.
“It was lovely to see the Duchess again and welcome her back to Justice for Girls,” said JFG director of Indigenous rights and environmental justice Zoë Craig-Sparrow.
“Her warm demeanour and impressive understanding of the issues made for a very engaging discussion. She was genuinely interested and invested in knowing about our work, connecting with teen girls, and talking to them about the realities they are facing.
“She met privately with two teen interns who were able to discuss their own struggles for justice. She’s been advocating for the rights of girls and women since she was a child herself, so it is not a surprise that she is passionate about the work of Justice for Girls.”
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex were in Vancouver to work on preparations for the 2025 Invictus Games that will be held in Vancouver and Whistler, B.C. Feb. 8-16, 2025.
Harry is the founder and the patron of the Invictus Games Foundation, which runs the international multi-sport event for wounded, injured and sick people who have served or are serving in the Armed Forces.
