Vogue Williams and Spencer Matthews
Podcaster Vogue Williams and her husband Spencer Matthews have disagreed on whether to enrol their children in the prestigious Eton boarding school.
The elite school is the largest boarding school in England and its alumni include Prince William and Prince Harry and many British prime ministers.
“I’d love my kids not to go to boarding school. It’ll be up to them. My little brother went to boarding school and loved it, but I’d prefer them to go to a day school,” Vogue said an exclusive interview in today’s Irish Mail on Sunday Magazine.
The My Therapist Ghosted Me co-star added: “I see people lining their kids up, getting tutors, and to me it’s too early. They’re babies.”
Meanwhile Reality TV star Spencer Matthews (35) who was also an Etonian, expressed his desire for his sons, Theodore (5) and Otto (1), to follow in his educational footsteps.
He said: “Our opinions at this stage are slightly different but I had a great time at Eton.”
“Boarding school can be great for your independence, but it depends on the character of the child. If Vogue feels strongly about it we’ll discuss it.”
Ms Williams and Mr Matthews got married in 2018. The pair have three children together; two sons and a daughter.
In 2019, they started their reality show called Spencer, Vogue And Baby Too. They now also broadcast their ‘fly on the wall podcast’, Spencer and Vogue, giving listeners an insight into their lives and marriage.
While the couple live in London, the Dublin native, Ms Williams hinted that there may come a time when she moves back home for good.
“The schools in Ireland are amazing and I would love one day to move back but at the moment so much of my work is in London and I want to spend as much time with the kids as possible,” she said on Newstalk’s The Anton Savage Show last month.
