The Albanese government have told more than 15,000 Australians with dual citizenships in Lebanon to leave now, following concerns the Israel-Hamas war could spread to the north of Israel.
One Nation Chief of Staff James Ashby said offering these 15,000 people repatriation flights back to Australia is the wrong message to send.
“The reality is, these 15,000, yes they may have dual citizenship but they spend the majority of their time in Lebanon, they’ve got no interest in Australia and until war breaks out,” Mr Ashby told Sky News host Peta Credlin.
“I hope we don’t offer those repatriation flights, certainly for free; we don’t have anywhere to bring them.
“If you’re thinking about bringing additional refugees from Gaza over here number one we’re going to have an issue with housing them and secondly are they the right fit for Australia?”
