Elvis will enter the Perth building

A burning love for all things Elvis Presley continues with the announcement that Elvis: A Musical Revolution is hip-swivelling into Crown Theatre Perth in May 2024.

Authorised by Elvis Presley Enterprises, the all-new bio-musical celebrating the life, legacy and music of the cultural icon and king of rock‘n’roll is clearly all right with audiences as it currently enjoys extended season success in Melbourne before a return stop in Sydney ahead of Adelaide, Perth and the Gold Coast.

Produced by David Venn Enterprises — Cruel Intentions: The ‘90s Musical, The Wedding Singer, Bring It On: The Musical — the musical stars Rob Mallett as Elvis, Ian Stenlake as Colonel Parker, Annie Chiswell as Priscilla Presley, Kirby Burgess as Ann-Margaret and Western Australian Academy of Performing Arts graduates Noni McCallum and Ben Hall as Gladys Presley and Sam Phillips.

The child performers who share the principal role of young Elvis, featuring in song and dance numbers, along with some dialogue scenes, will be cast in each city the production tours.

Hot on the blue suede heels of Baz Luhrmann’s 2022 film Elvis, the jukebox musical was written by David Abbinanti and Sean Cercone, the creative collaborators known for their work on popular international touring production including Ghost: The Musical and Saturday Night Fever: The Musical.

It explores the pivotal moments in Elvis’ life from his childhood in Tupelo, Mississippi through to his triumphant 1968 Comeback Special, while featuring more than 40 Elvis songs including Jailhouse Rock, Hound Dog, That’s All Right, All Shook Up, Suspicious Minds, Heartbreak Hotel, Burning Love, Blue Suede Shoes, Don’t Be Cruel, Are You Lonesome Tonight?, Return to Sender, Teddy Bear, Can’t Help Falling In Love and A Little Less Conversation.
