LGB Alliance Head of Research Malcolm Clark says it was “ludicrous” of Jeanette Jennings to take her child to a sex therapist to determine if her child was transgender.
Transgender icon Jazz Jennings is a celebrity of the LGBT community who rose to fame for the reality show ‘I am Jazz’ which documented her transition from male to female at five years old.
“The astonishing thing is … I’ve seen so many different clips where Jeanette Jennings, the mother and Jazz tell so many versions of this story,” he told Sky News host Rita Panahi.
“For example, the bit you’ve just played with Jazz saying that the doctors said X, Y, and Z – I’ve seen interviews with the doctor who says a very different version of it.
“She, Marilyn Volker, who was the doctor – she was a sex therapist … the idea that you would go to Marilyn Volker to find out if your kid was trans is so ludicrous.
“But Marilyn Volker, says the opposite, she says that it was Jazz who said these specific things and she says that Jazz said ‘I want to have that body’ looking at the little girl doll.”
